We have a limited number of volunteer or helper positions available. Please email campjitterbug@gmail.com for volunteer requests.

04

IS THERE HOUSING AVAILABLE?

The Silver Cloud Hotel gives us a discounted rate, and it is located in the heart of the workshop venues. Please refer to Housing information.

05

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME AT CAMP JITTERBUG. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASSES?

Please wear dance shoes only to classes…we discourage wearing street shoes to class. You can wear any dance shoe or sneaker that you prefer, as long as it isn’t used on the street to respect the floors. Wear clothes that are comfortable to dance in. If you plan on taking an air steps class, do not wear any loose fitting jewelry or clothing that could get caught. Comfort is the key word here.

06

ARE THE VENUES WALKING DISTANCE?

The workshop venues and dances are ALL within walking distance of each other on Capitol Hill. Washington Hall is the furthest away but still walkable. A map is available here https://www.campjitterbug.com/venues

07

CAN I VIDEOTAPE AT CAMP JITTERBUG?

We welcome people to videotape during the competitions and at the evening dances, but please do not use flashes since this may interfere with our competitors and performers.  We do not allow videotaping during classes except with permission from the teachers at the end of class.

If you post footage of the event on social media, please include the CJ web page and/or #campjitterbug so others can know where to find more info on the event.
